Is it really possible to capture the imagination of the reader with as few words as possible in a story? Therefore, allowing them to imagine the novel. The shortest novel, according to some, is Ernest Hemingway’s; “For sale: Baby shoes, never worn.”
Of course there is no title, and so like mine -untitled – let the privileged reader decide.
At the outset there were three of us and then others came. Drawn by an overwhelming curiosity to watch and listen. Naked beneath scarlet hair she sat on a rock washed by the tide, and the echo of her melody lingered on after she had flipped her tail and dived.
