Guided Tour
Gather here, look at the view – on a clear day you can see the Isle of Wight and through your vision amplifiers you will see the beach-cleaners in Franconia. Every morning, they collect the dead.
THOSE WHO DARE TO ESCAPE OUR BELOVED REPUBLIC!
Since the year 2050 the Tower has served as a triangulation beacon for our killer drones protecting our Channel and executing traitors. Those disillusioned citizens determined to reach the Euro-Zone. A place full of milk and honey – you may laugh.
Enough . . . silence!
The curfew starts soon. Now go directly to your assigned homes.
The ultimate Brexit. I can certainly imagine there may be some vindictive actions – like making it hard for pensions to be paid to people living overseas.

Thanks for reading. Oh what a fuddle muddle the politicians weave, and our pensioners they deceive.

Oh God, it is going to end up just like this, isn’t it? Rees-Mogg will be about to enter his 30th year as Prime Minister…

Yikes. What a dismal and bleak future and big brother guiding more than just the tour.

Quite right too. We’re not going through all this pain and hassle just to let people leave willy-nilly once it’s all over… 🙂

I like how the guided tour started so innocently and then suddenly turned into a sinister and dystopian story. Nice one.

I liked you story and the line infidelity diet. For some reason my comments do not get accepted on Blogger – Perhaps I need a google account?

I really liked the smooth transition from a lovely guided tour to a tyrant’s scary tirade. What a topical take on the prompt!

I loved your story, so inventive. Reading it did a rare thing – it made me smile about Brexit ! Very nicely done.
